Peter Gomber GmbH (‘Gomber’) is a wooden packaging specialist in Rhineland-Palatinate that has been run as a traditional family business since its foundation in 1946. Gomber specialises in the manufacture of wooden pallets, crates and packaging solutions and has achieved success in recent years through tailor-made solutions and close customer relationships, resulting in an excellent reputation in the region.
The market for wooden packaging is characterised by sustainable growth and resilient, economically robust business models. It is highly fragmented and dominated by local, owner-managed companies that are increasingly having to respond to the need to drive innovation and digitalisation.
Gomber is joining forces with ARCA Holding GmbH (‘ARCA’) to create synergies with future acquisitions, particularly in the areas of purchasing, digitalisation and process optimisation. Joining the group is intended to ensure Gomber’s continued growth and sustainable existence, as well as contributing to the optimisation of its product and service offering.
Gomber will maintain its independent market presence. Franz Schuler, who has successfully managed the company for over 20 years, will remain in charge of its operational management. Together with the support of ARCA, this will ensure a succession solution for Gomber and maintain continuity for customers and partners.
