ARCA Holding GmbH (‘ARCA’) announces the group’s strategic investment in Exportverpackung Sehnde GmbH (“EVS”) and Export Pack Polska Sp. z o.o. (‘EPP’). The investment in EVS & EPP (the ‘EVS Group’) represents a significant step in ARCA’s growth strategy and marks its regional expansion into northern Germany and Poland.
The family-owned company EVS was founded in 1858, now has 120 employees and operates sites in Sehnde and Hanover. What began as a manufacturer of wooden crates and other packaging materials has now developed into a modern logistics company providing a full range of packaging services. EPP was founded in Zabrze, Poland, in 2014 as a sister company of EVS with the aim of applying the expertise gained in Germany in the manufacture of packaging materials and the provision of packaging and other logistics services to the Polish market. EPP is currently the production site of the EVS Group and also supplies many other packaging companies in Germany. Thanks to its process expertise and production capacities, the EVS Group offers significant synergy potential in the integration of other regional market players.
EVS & EPP will be seamlessly integrated into ARCA, while retaining their independent brand and market presence. The managing directors of the EVS Group, Matthias Duensing, Marco Schleitzer and Lukasz Pietrzyk, are in line with the Group’s strategic vision and will remain in their positions within the company. The shareholders, Björn and Thorben Scharnhorst, will retain a substantial stake in the group and will contribute their expertise in new roles as integration managers for the ARCA group. This will ensure a smooth transition and pave the way for the continued growth of the EVS group as part of ARCA.
